Fate / Another II Advanced Techniques #2Nailphon"Nailphon" is a unique term aroused from combining two skills "Catena Nail" and "Bellerophon". Using "Nailphon" increases the AOE of Bellerophon by casting Catena Nail as you descend, drawing the nearby opponents into Bellerophon. This particular technique makes Rider one of the most formidable opponent to play against if Rider has mastered the technique.
I'm very sorry to say this, but I'm going to have to be honest - this technique is virtually impossible to utilize if you are not the host or a client who is experiencing less than 0.3 seconds of delay per command issued. This is due to the fact that Catena Nail needs to be casted instantly as you land on Bellerophon, as the hit duration for Bellerophon only lasts at the most 0.4 seconds. (Now you see why they play under 20-30 DR in Kalimdor)
Look at that pathetic AOE... who are you going to hit with THAT?
There are four ways of performing Nailphon.
Note : The guide assumes that you group your hero to 1 using Ctrl+1
- Press 1q1q1q1q as fast as possible while you cast Bellerophon
- Click on the portrait of Rider at the speed of light and slam Q on your keyboard
- Use an automated program that does Nailphon
- Press 1q once at the right time
The first approach is probably the most common way of how people perform Nailphon. While it certainly works, it lacks precision and you have a chance of not activating it, because you pay end up pressing Q first when you need to first select your hero with 1. This is how I first performed Nailphon when I started playing Rider.
As for the second approach, I have heard that this works better than the first approach but I cannot bet my life on it as I haven't tried it myself. But even so, there's one significant problem with this one - You cannot cast S scroll in time. Sometimes, you may need to use your S scroll to finish off an enemy and if your mouse is on the portrait, I can guarantee you that the enemy will use 3rd mantra to heal up even before you can finish the enemy off.
If you choose the third approach, well congratulations, you will be the best Nailphon user anybody has known. Also, you have the right to call yourself a ***. Hey man, while you are at it, why don't you just use Auto-Pole program for assassin, Autoaimer on Counterstrike or even a maphack? Where do you draw the line ***? hmm?
Fourth approach is the recommendation I have to make. It is the most accurate way of performing Nailphon. Only thing is that this requires exact timing, so you will have to train yourself in Single Player to know the exact timing. Personally for me, I listen to the sound of Bellerophon.
Press 1q at the moment on the "ph" part of Bellero
phon and it will work all the time. Remember, this is under the assumption that you are the host of the game, so if you have even 0.2 seconds of delay, you may have to press just a bit earlier.
Here are some examples of what kind of AOE improvement you can get:
Note : Spell circle is the spell AOE and red circle is the actual AOE
Look at the improvement of it. Awesome ain't it?
BELLEROPHONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN PWNEDDDD
One last remark about Nailphon is that the AOE gets bigger if you use it from a further distance than a shorter distance. This is due to the fact that the hit duration slightly increases depending on the distance of the jump. Below is a representation on how big the AOE can get.
HOLY ****, THE AOE IS ALMOST THE SAME AS *** BOLGA
I AM NAILPHON PRO NAO? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO
