It would add more interesting options if heroes had negative attributes also. They could give you points when you buy them, and possibly you could get rid of them later by spending points given + 5 or something similar.

Some sample negative atts:

Archer : Seal mad master: Archer's master spends reiju on random stuff. Max reiju per 10 mins reduced to 5.

Archer: Really long chant: UBW cast time increased 2 seconds

Saber: Broken master link: Base mana regen set to 0, and cannot spend points on int or mana regen

TA: Late summoning: TA doesn't spawn until 20 seconds into the round (+20 secs respawn in arena)

Gilg: Arrogant: 15% chance to be stunned for 1 sec laughing after every ability used

Gilg: Really Arrogant: Enuma Elish will be cancelled if no heroes with Divinity are in AOE

Lancer: The lancers can't win: Lancer dies if he is the only one left alive on his team.

Rider: Weak master: belle -200 damage

Zerker: Weakhand: Godhand loses 2 lives when zerker is killed with a W ability

ZL: too sexy: love spot works on own team as well

what the heck, by negative attributes, you mean negative things about a servant or rather weaknesses?

U mean things like


zerker : caliburn can burn 6 lives

Lancer: gae no hb

FA: Fa gets kill in middle of tg agaisnt saber

Saber: no mana regen

DS: rape everyone

Rider : get rape by saber's excal in middle of belle

Lancelot: only attack saber and grab gob

I mean the same as positive atts you can buy. Instead of spending 10 points to make your servant better at things, you are given 10 points to make your servant worse at certain things.

um, the whole purpose of f3 is to improve your servant and who would trade points to gain retarded penality that will haunt you the entire game

if you need extra points, just get godhelp stat, but in dm, there's usually at least one servant on your team that can use amp which can change the outcome of at least 1 round between win and lose.

The point is that it will help a lot in early game. A saber spamming 1000 dmg excals round 1 would be dangerous. She would be weaker late game, but it is a tradeoff.

Also, some of the negative attributes would not be terrible depending on your playstyle. UBW being worse doesn't matter if you are one of the legendary no UBW archers. These negative atts could encourage different builds with the various heroes.

I'd rather existing balance issues be worked on before adding a new mechanic that could potentially introduce a whole new mess of balance issues.

are you sure about that cement? that didn't change any meta for lancer other than make him die.

there is no such thing as not using a skill in f/a, you may not want to level a skill at first because one peaks your eye more than a another, but they all have their purpose and get used at least once,

only reason why ubw is so unattractive is because of double edge sword factor, which many question if this should be happening but most skills don't have double edge sword on them.
